The journalist, Per Nygren, asked me how we are benefiting from our use of social media such as our two bloggs, our Twitter account, our Facebook group.

The lastest information from Govinda says that the fabrics will clear customs today! (YES!) and arrive in Nepal on Tuesday. Finally we can get started.

Lina and I are trying to take the weekends off, in order to save strength. It has been a lot of work for a long time now. We managed to take the entire day off yesterday. Today? We'll, I'm sitting here writing the blog, I'm communicating with Govinda in Nepal, I'm preparing a newsletter. But hey, one day without work is a good thing. I didn't even start up my computer yesterday.

We have launched a The Fair Tailor group on Facebook. If you haven't joined yet, check it out.

There is now four ways of following our progress online: This blog, twitter.com/thefairtailor, the Facebook group and our newsletter.

Yesterday I had a long conversation with Claes at Namaste Nepal (The English website is not really updated, so the link goes to the Swedish version) , an organization that works with helping underprivileged girls. Namaste Nepal train girls from all over Nepal in tailoring and our hope is to be able to employ some of the girls from the organization in our production house.

If you press this tab you will come to our customer support area. I know that we don't have any products yet, but we want to evaluate the system before we decide to use it.

We use a system called Get Satisfaction, were both employees and customers can answer the questions.

Let's Twitter

Both Lina and I are now hooked on Twitter.
In my last post I wrote about the marketing seminar we went to on Friday. One of the things they talked s lot about was Twitter and we decided to put a little time in to learning what to do and what not to do.
Both of us already had Twitter accounts, but we are still trying to work out how it works, what to do and what not to do. I think we'll make a few rookie mistakes, but we have figured out that Twitter is not the same as the Facebook status...

Yesterday we took a day off from The Fair Tailor to play with friends, kids and Lego.

Marketing seminar

Today both Lina and I have spent the entire day in at a marketing seminar arranged by MIG.
The lectures was about social media and how to use it in your marketing. And it seems that I'm doing something right, they encouraged us to start writing blogs if we had not already done that.

Brit Stakston(JMW), Niclas Strandh(DigitalPR) and Peter Ingman(Newsdesk) held the most interesting lectures.
Brit and Niclas spoke mainly about social medias in general and what you should consider before starting working with social medias.
Peter is a profile in the Swedish marketing community, thus he wore a red jacket, red pants and red shoes. But his lecture was even more interesting than his clothes. This morning we actually posted our press release at his site Newsdesk, and I think that it might be a good platform for us in the future.
